Situation

Rose Rocket, a Canadian software company, established their head office in the heart of downtown Toronto in 2020. They chose a heritage site featuring a three-story atrium surrounded by a ‘U’-shaped office space. Ray Architecture Studio partnered with Hush Acoustics to bring their interior design vision to life, which included smaller meeting rooms, larger boardrooms, and an open office concept.

Challenge

The large open office areas featured high ceilings and concrete floors, necessitating comprehensive acoustic solutions to control sound. The project required a variety of acoustic products, and Rose Rocket was pleased to source everything from Hush Acoustics, ensuring effective sound management and a cohesive design.

The Hush team paid meticulous attention to color coordination, ensuring that all acoustic solutions seamlessly matched the carpets, paints, and overall branding of Rose Rocket. This attention to detail helped create a visually unified and acoustically effective environment.

In meeting rooms where ceiling acoustics were not feasible, Hush proposed the use of Etched Wall Tiles. These tiles provided the necessary sound absorption while maintaining the aesthetic consistency of the space.

Solution

Hush Acoustics implemented a comprehensive approach to address the unique acoustic challenges of Rose Rocket’s new office space:

1. Open Office Acoustic Solutions:

High ceilings and concrete floors in the open office areas required advanced sound management. Hush utilized a range of acoustic products, ensuring that all elements worked together to create an acoustically balanced environment.

2. Color Coordination and Branding:

The Hush team focused on integrating the acoustic solutions with Rose Rocket’s branding. By matching the acoustic products with the carpets, paints, and overall design scheme, they ensured a cohesive look that complemented the company’s aesthetic vision.

3. Etched Wall Tiles:

In meeting rooms where ceiling acoustics were not an option, Hush installed Etched Wall Tiles. These tiles not only provided effective sound absorption but also maintained the design integrity of the space.

Collaboration and Customization:

Throughout the project, Hush Acoustics worked closely with Ray Architecture Studio and Rose Rocket to ensure that the final outcome aligned with the client’s vision. By incorporating the client’s ideas and preferences, Hush delivered a tailored acoustic solution that enhanced the overall functionality and appearance of the office space.

Results

The collaboration between Hush Acoustics, Ray Architecture Studio, and Rose Rocket resulted in a highly effective and visually appealing acoustic environment. The strategic integration of various acoustic products ensured sound management while preserving the aesthetic integrity of the heritage site.

Rose Rocket expressed high satisfaction with the outcome, appreciating the seamless integration of acoustic solutions with their brand’s colors and design elements. The project not only met but exceeded their expectations, creating a workspace that is both functional and beautiful.

By leveraging Hush Acoustics’ expertise in custom acoustic solutions, Rose Rocket successfully transformed their new head office into a productive and visually cohesive space that aligns with their brand identity and functional needs.
