HelloFresh
A phased acoustics approach improves sound control while preserving architectural character

Year Installed:
2024

Location:
Toronto, ON

Situation

The HelloFresh office, designed with Flodstrom Interiors, features large open spaces, original wood flooring, and exposed stonework. These elements contribute to the character of the space but also create significant acoustic challenges. The project was delivered in multiple phases, requiring an acoustic partner capable of supporting evolving timelines while maintaining consistency in performance and appearance.

Challenge

Extensive hard surfaces resulted in echo and reverberation throughout the office. In addition, the phased construction schedule required acoustic products to be delivered and installed at different stages. The solution needed to remain visually cohesive across phases while accommodating the logistical demands of a fast-moving project.

Solution

Hush Acoustics supplied a range of standard acoustic products, including Linear Baffles, Wall Panels, and Ceiling Clouds, all finished in Snow white, with the exception of select booth panels. Palisade wall panels were also incorporated in later phases. By coordinating product delivery with the phased schedule, Hush provided a flexible acoustic solution that adapted to the project’s evolving needs.

Results

The completed office benefits from significantly improved acoustic comfort while retaining its original materials and architectural character. The clean, white acoustic elements integrate seamlessly into the interior, reducing reverberation without dominating the design. The phased approach allowed HelloFresh to achieve consistent acoustic performance as the space developed over time.
