Pinterest’s Toronto office includes multiple meeting and collaboration rooms designed to support both in-person and virtual meetings. The architectural team at Gensler envisioned large-scale custom graphics applied across the walls of these spaces, while also addressing the acoustic demands of group discussions and video conferencing. The solution needed to integrate branded visuals with effective sound absorption across several rooms.
The existing building featured walls that were not perfectly straight, creating challenges for both graphic alignment and panel installation. Large wall surfaces required precise coordination so that graphics could continue seamlessly from one wall to the next, including around corners. Any misalignment would disrupt the visual continuity and diminish the overall quality of the finished space.
Hush Acoustics worked closely with the project team to translate the custom graphics onto acoustic wall panels sized specifically for each room. Wall dimensions were used to design graphics that aligned precisely with the panel layout. During installation, careful attention was given to panel alignment, allowing the imagery to wrap seamlessly across walls and corners while delivering consistent acoustic performance.
Across four to five rooms, the completed spaces achieve a balance of acoustic comfort and immersive visual design. The panels improve speech clarity during meetings while presenting uninterrupted graphics that enhance the overall experience of each room. The project illustrates how acoustic solutions can function as an integral part of workplace branding and design.
